Customers realized 90% time savings in phishing detection and takedowns
SALT LAKE CITY and LONDON, May 14, 2025 -- Netcraft, the leader in cybercrime detection and takedown, today announced the findings of The Total Economic Impact™ Of Netcraft Brand Protection, a Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study conducted by Forrester Consulting. Providing security leaders with a framework to evaluate the potential financial impact of Netcraft, the study found that organizations significantly increased productivity in phishing detection and takedowns, resulting in net present value of greater than $2M over three years and 323% return on investment (ROI).
"The study's findings further validate the value our customers realize with Netcraft's automated digital risk protection platform," said Ryan Woodley, CEO, Netcraft. Manual processes are simply too slow to be effective. "Too many organizations struggle to scale their cybercrime detection and takedowns across various threat channels and at a scale that matches criminal advances. We are solving the challenges with an end-to-end solution that leverages automation, AI, machine learning, and human insights to identify and mitigate threats, detecting 100+ unique threat types to ensure malicious content is swiftly blocked and removed."
Netcraft commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a TEI study and examine the potential ROI enterprises can realize by deploying their solutions. The study found that organizations were able to reduce manual tasks by using automated services, enabling them to detect more threats across 100 different attack types and scale their cybercrime visibility. They were also able to reduce average takedown times and decrease response times, while demonstrating to regulators and customers that they were proactive in protecting against phishing, scams, fraud, and cyber attacks.
Key findings for the composite organization based on interviewed customers include:
- The organization achieved 323% ROI and $2M net present value (NPV) over three years.
- Netcraft improved visibility and improved takedown time for $1.5M in recaptured productivity over three years.
- Netcraft increased efficiency in detecting and taking down senior executive impersonations on social media platforms, resulting in $671,000 in cost savings over three years.
- The organization received deep analysis and comprehensive threat reports for recaptured productivity of $487,312 over three years.
Additionally, through Netcraft's rapid detection and response capabilities, organizations were able to enhance their customer trust and improve brand reputation, while also boosting employee satisfaction. With strengthened security, organizations were empowered to stay ahead of emerging threats and demonstrate a strong cybersecurity posture, making them less attractive targets for fraudsters.
