Named to Best-in-State (DE) List
NEW YORK, Feb. 27, 2025 -- Wilmington Trust today announced that Wealth Market Manager Christy Watkins has been named to Forbes magazine's list of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors for Delaware.
These annual rankings showcase the top U.S. wealth advisors, and Forbes has featured Wilmington Trust's advisors in multiple categories since 2020.
"Christy's inclusion on this list shows her deep commitment to her clients and her importance to Wilmington Trust's entire business," said Lisa Roberts, Wilmington Trust's Head of Wealth. "Her leadership and commitment to her clients is a significant differentiator for Wilmington Trust."
Watkins is responsible for managing a team of investment specialists in Wilmington's Family Wealth group with experience in strategic asset allocation and portfolio management. As a member of the firm's Matrimonial Advisory Practice Team, she provides guidance, resources, and insights to clients impacted by divorce.
Prior to joining her current team, Watkins served as a trust accountant in Wilmington's Tax Department. Her experience in taxation allows her to construct portfolio strategies utilizing tax-advantaged approaches.
She holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Delaware and is a CFA® charterholder, a member of the CFA Institute, and a member of the CFA Society Philadelphia.
"Being included in this distinguished list of women leaders across our industry is a great thrill and honor," Watkins said. "It's especially gratifying to be listed as one of the leading women in the state of Delaware, as women are such an important part of this industry, especially with the wealth transfer occurring for multiple generations."
Wilmington Trust's Sharon Klein and Shannon Saltos were also named to other Forbes lists for 2025.
The Forbes rankings developed by SHOOK Research blend qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods. The final rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process, utilizing interviews and financial data to consider factors such as revenue generation and client retention.
