UT Haslam's Supply Chain Management Department in Top Three for Empirical Research

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., April 30, 2025 -- The Department of Supply Chain Management (SCM) in the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business, claimed the No. 3 spot in the 2025 The SCM Journal List annual ranking of empirical supply chain research, marking the 11th straight year Haslam has placed in the top five. Rounding out the top five were the University of Arkansas at No. 5, The Ohio State University at No. 4, Arizona State University at No. 2 and Michigan State University at No. 1.

Haslam has one of the most comprehensive, forward-thinking and highly regarded supply chain programs in the world.

According to Chad Autry, associate dean for faculty and research, Myers Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management and R. Stanley Bowden II Faculty Research Fellow, the ranking reflects the SCM faculty's commitment to overall academic excellence and pragmatic problem-solving.
