Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Launches Westfield Rise in the US

Westfield Rise also debuts its new Immersive Experiential Display Network

LOS ANGELES, April 15, 2025 -- Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) announces the expansion of Westfield Rise, the company's in-house media and experiential division, to the US.

First established in 2022, Westfield Rise helps brands forge transformative connections with millions of ready-to-spend consumers a year through dynamic media, immersive experiential, Westfield signature events, and strategic integrations.  It now encompasses URW's media and experiential business across the US and Europe.

Anne-Sophie Sancerre, Chief Customer and Retail Officer for URW, said: "With Westfield Rise, we're giving brands a global stage across the world's most influential cities. This expansion lets them reach nearly a billion visitors at our centers through one powerful platform. From Los Angeles to New York to Paris and beyond, we're helping our partners show up in high-impact ways – all while creating standout experiences and stronger connections with consumers."

Dominic Lowe, URW US Chief Operating Officer, said: "Westfield Rise is central to the next chapter of our US strategy. As we transform our flagship centers into multidimensional destinations where people can live, work, and play, Rise is how we connect the physical environment with the digital and experiential – turning our spaces into dynamic platforms for brand storytelling and consumer engagement. It's how we unlock new value for our partners, elevate the customer experience, and drive growth well beyond traditional retail."

Coinciding with the expansion, Westfield Rise is launching its Immersive Experiential Display (IXD) Network in the US, a best-in-class media platform to showcase the world's top brands. Debuting at URW's shopping centers country-wide in 2025, the innovative network features state-of-the-art media displays across 10 of the company's flagship shopping centers.

Kristen Jackman, Senior Vice President at URW and Head of Westfield Rise in the US, said: "Everything we create is designed to elevate the consumer journey, foster meaningful engagement, and turn consumers into passionate brand advocates. Our new IXD Network will revolutionize and redefine DOOH by giving brands flexible buying models with guaranteed measurement and more advanced creative capabilities. And this is just the start of what we have planned for 2025 and beyond."

With the IXD Network from Westfield Rise, brands can create industry-disruptive campaigns tailored specifically to meet their goals and reach the Westfield consumer in more creative and impactful ways. Featuring nearly 300 eight-foot LED screens, the network is designed to perform from the inside out, eliminate environmental glare, and offer a quarter more screen space while being nearly 20 percent more energy efficient. Each screen features dual cameras for real-time audience measurement and options for personalized interactive experiences. Powered by Quividi, a real-time audience measurement platform, the IXD Network measures privacy-respectful consumer analytics that are paramount in informing consumer engagement and advertising performance.

The IXD Network is also enabled with a new creative tech pack, which allows brands to easily create show-stopping 3D content that scales immediately to affluent ready-to-spend customers visiting Westfield shopping centers. Additional capabilities will launch later this year, including augmented reality.
