TPT's Acclaimed Music Series "Stage" Returns for a Fourth Season, Showcasing Minnesota's Vibrant Music Scene

TPT's Acclaimed Music Series

ST. PAUL, Minn., March 4, 2025 -- Twin Cities PBS (TPT) is thrilled to announce the return of "Stage," its award-winning local music series, for a fourth season. Premiering Monday, April 7, at 9 p.m. on broadcast on TPT 2 and streaming on the PBS App, "Stage" continues to celebrate Minnesota's dynamic music community by pairing beloved local artists with up-and-coming musicians for an unforgettable blend of performance and storytelling.

Filmed at the legendary 7th St Entry, where so many local artists have launched their careers, each episode of "Stage" brings two acts together for a one-of-a-kind collaboration. This season's lineup features an exciting mix of established and emerging talent:

  • April 7 – Kiss the Tiger with Diane
  • April 14 – Your Smith with Raffaella
  • April 21Cory Wong with Misty Boyce
  • April 28 – Laamar with Lucia Sarmiento
  • May 5 – Gully Boys with SoulFlower
  • May 12 – The Suburbs with Matt Wilson

Episodes premiere Mondays at 9 p.m. on broadcast on TPT 2 and streaming on the PBS App, with an early preview airing Sunday nights on The Current's "The Local Show" from Minnesota Public Radio

"'Stage' is a testament to the incredible talent in our community and the deep connections forged through music," said Kate McDonald, the show's Producer. "This season, we're excited to introduce audiences to new voices while celebrating the established artists who continue to shape Minnesota's music landscape."

Last season, "Stage" was honored with a Gracie Award by the Alliance for Women in Media, an annual awards program honors and celebrates a diverse mix of media made by, for and about women. This year, TPT has teamed up with The Current to bring the propulsive blend of storytelling and performance featured in "Stage" to a wider audience of local music lovers, releasing in April to coincide with Minnesota Music Month.

"Stage" is made possible in part by Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
