ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Feb. 20, 2025 -- Toastmasters International announces Matt Abrahams, lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business, author of two communication-based books, and host of the Think Fast, Talk Smart podcast, as the recipient of the organization's 2025 Golden Gavel Award.
Matt Abrahams is a renowned communication expert with decades of teaching, coaching, and consulting experience. He hosts the popular Webby award-winning podcast Think Fast, Talk Smart: The Podcast, which is the #1 Career podcast in 95 countries, including the US and UK, India, China, Mexico, and Brazil. He has helped numerous presenters prepare for high-stakes talks, including IPO road shows, Nobel Prize award presentations, and appearances at TED and the World Economic Forum.
"Matt Abrahams has been positively impacting communicators for decades," says Radhi Spear, Toastmasters 2024-25 International President. "It is a privilege to recognize him as this year's Golden Gavel recipient, our most prestigious award."
Matt is an accomplished writer whose articles have appeared in the GSB, Fast Company, Toastmasters Magazine, Inc.com, and Quartz. He has also published several research articles on strategic planning, persuasion, and interpersonal communication. Prior to teaching, Matt held senior leadership positions at several software companies, where he created and ran global learning and development organizations.

Abrahams will accept the award and address attendees during a presentation on Friday, Aug. 22, at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown in historic Philadelphia, PA.
