International Financial Technology Awards Program Reveals its Shortlist
NEW YORK, Feb. 25, 2025 -- The shortlist for the first edition of The FinTech Awards, operated by the global cloud computing awards body, The Cloud Awards, has been announced today.
Enjoying its first run, The FinTech Awards recognizes outstanding achievements and the latest breakthroughs in financial technology ('FinTech'). The program rewards innovative applications of FinTech within a wide range of sectors, including retail, healthcare and nonprofits. Uses within financial operations across any organization, such as payments, accounts, and payroll are included. Finally, FinTech applied to the improvement of financial services itself – including banking, insurance, and investments are recognized within the shortlist.
The shortlist contains organizations headquartered all over the globe, of varying sizes and reputations – from household names to emerging startups.
CEO of The Cloud Awards, James Williams, said: "Since this new program was announced early in 2024 there has been great anticipation building towards this moment. We're very excited to reveal the entries that have made the shortlist, these organizations emerging as the crème-de-la-crème of the burgeoning FinTech industry.
"Finance and finance operations are one of the fastest-growing areas of cloud computing, SaaS, and AI innovation. Operating in this space offers a unique blend of challenges – with solutions having to tread the delicate tightrope between offering a fantastic user experience for users and consumers, while offering the tightest levels of cloud security and compliance with complex regulatory needs.
"The entries shortlisted have all demonstrated an exceptional eye and deft touch in meeting these needs. We wish them all well as they enter the next round of assessment in these awards."
The FinTech Awards judges will now start the second round of judging to determine which of the shortlistees are to be taken forwards to the finalist stage. FinTech Awards finalists will be announced on Tuesday 25 March, with the winners then revealed in April.
The program will return to welcome new submissions in winter 2025, to continue recognizing excellence in financial technology solutions.
