Sponsorship Opportunities Available for 2025 Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) Conference

DALLAS, Feb. 6, 2025 -- Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) is now accepting sponsorships for its 2025 Conference, taking place in person from April 2–5 in Dallas, TX, and virtually on April 9–10. As cyber threats grow in complexity and frequency, developing a skilled cybersecurity workforce is more urgent than ever. The WiCyS Conference provides businesses and organizations with a unique opportunity to invest in cybersecurity talent acquisition, strengthen the workforce, and take an active role in addressing the industry's critical workforce shortage.

The cybersecurity field is experiencing a severe talent gap, with hundreds of thousands of unfilled cybersecurity jobs across the U.S. This workforce shortage poses a direct risk to national security, business operations, and data protection. Cybercrime costs are projected to reach $10.5 trillion annually by 2025 (Statista). Additionally, the average cost of a data breach per company globally is estimated at $4.88 million per incident (IBM Cost of a Data Breach Report 2023). Without more qualified professionals entering the field, organizations will struggle to combat growing cyber threats effectively.

Women currently represent only 20-24% of the global cybersecurity workforce, further limiting the industry's ability to fill critical roles. WiCyS is leading the charge to develop the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, creating accessibility and opportunities to meet workforce demands.

"The magic of WiCyS is twofold: (1) Access to an incredible talent pipeline—no other cyber event brings together students and professionals at this scale. (2) An intentional balance of technical and strategic content, which truly benefits our team members on their growth journeys. This unique value is why we continue to invest in WiCyS," said Alexandra Z Landegger, Executive Director & Global Head of Cyber Strategy and Transformation of RTX.
