Sharebite Releases Inaugural Impact Report Demonstrating Corporate Impact on Food Insecurity

10M Meals Donated, 67K Local Restaurants Supported, and 31K Pounds of Food Packed Through Volunteer Events

NEW YORK, March 18, 2025 -- Sharebite, the leading meal benefits platform built exclusively for companies, today announced the release of its inaugural Impact Report, which outlines the company's social and environmental initiatives, volunteer efforts, and collective impact made through partnerships with corporate clients, restaurants, and hunger relief organizations in 2024.

Since its inception, Sharebite has uniquely embarked on a mission to get every worker in America fed by partnering with companies to feed their employees — whether they are in-office, remote, or hybrid. For every meal ordered on its platform, Sharebite makes a donation to feed someone in need through its long-lasting partnerships with organizations like City Harvest and Feeding America. With food costs soaring and over 47 million Americans facing food insecurity annually, Sharebite's mission has become more pressing — and meaningful — than ever.

"When we started building Sharebite 8 years ago, the societal impact was never an afterthought — it was the whole design," said Dilip Rao,  Founder and CEO of Sharebite. "Our bold mission envisions a future where no worker — or family — in America goes hungry."

The report highlights several key areas of impact in 2024:

Feeding Local Communities: With food insecurity on the rise, Sharebite's 1:1 meal donation model provides critical support to communities in need nationwide. In 2024, Sharebite surpassed 10 million meal donations.

Scaling Corporate Responsibility: Sharebite enables its clients to embed corporate responsibility into their daily workplace by making significant contributions to alleviating hunger. Since Sharebite makes a donation in the local area where a meal is ordered on its platform, employees automatically make an impact in their own community by simply using their company-sponsored meal allowance. In the report, Sharebite gives a shoutout to a few clients for hitting major milestones in 2024: MarketCast surpassed 15,000 meal donations, SKIMS surpassed 30,000 meal donations, and Wieden+Kennedy surpassed 50,000 meal donations.

"Work feels truly fulfilling when it involves making real changes to help those in need," said Jessi Ortolano, Facility Director at Wieden+Kennedy. "Collaborating with Sharebite has been nothing less than phenomenal. Our employees can take pride in knowing they are making a difference."

Supporting Local Restaurants: In 2024, 81% of Sharebite Passport — a meal allowance given to employees in the form of a virtual Visa® card — transactions were made directly with merchants and small businesses, helping 66,924 restaurants avoid expensive third-party platform fees and supporting local economies.

Driving Volunteer Initiatives: Sharebite's team participated in 11 volunteer events across the country in 2024, resulting in 31,085 pounds of food packed, 3,500 snack packs assembled, and 3,080 boxes of food prepared for those in need.

Growing Sustainability Efforts: Sharebite implemented several sustainability initiatives, including launching a new internal travel policy to encourage lower-emission transportation, partnering with eco-friendly restaurants, and implementing an order batching model that reduces delivery trip emissions.

Sharebite has become an indispensable asset for corporate clients, helping them fuel employee engagement, foster culture, and create a meaningful impact in their communities — all at once. This commitment to excellence earned Sharebite several prestigious recognitions in 2024, including securing positions on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 (#35), Fast Company Best Workplaces for Innovators (#35), and the Inc. 5000 (#56).
