Rohrer Corporation Expands Sustainable Material Options In Its ezCombo® Packaging Program

Rohrer Corporation expands its ezCombo program with new RPET blister and tray options in multiple thicknesses, offering sustainable, cost-effective packaging solutions that meet evolving regulations.

WADSWORTH, Ohio, Oct. 2, 2025 -- Rohrer Corporation, a leading provider of innovative packaging solutions, is proud to announce the expansion of its sustainable material offerings within its ezCombo portfolio. Rohrer's ezCombo program consolidates multiple printed or thermoformed packaging orders into a single production run. By sharing a press sheet or form with other brands, customers can accelerate time to market and minimize start-up costs, reduce tooling expenses, and shorten set-up times.

Rohrer's ezCombo program helps brands meet goals without sacrificing speed, quality or cost control.

As the industry's largest, most flexible combo program, ezCombo offers a variety of printed or plastic packaging solutions, including:

With sustainable materials in paper and plastic packaging, ezCombo now includes expanded RPET blister and tray options in 10 mil and 20 mil thicknesses, in addition to 12 and 15 mil. This enhancement reinforces Rohrer's ongoing commitment to the circular economy and delivering cost effective, environmentally responsible solutions.

"Our customers are navigating increasingly complex sustainability requirements while continuing to demand cost-effective, high-performance packaging," said Ed Steele, President, Thermoforming Solutions Group. "At Rohrer, we are focused on providing practical, sustainable solutions that support our customers' environmental objectives without sacrificing quality or cost control."

RPET (Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate) has become a preferred material in sustainable packaging due to its recycled content and full recyclability. Rohrer's RPET material solutions directly support compliance with evolving regulations, including California's SB 54, which mandates reductions in single-use plastics and promotes the increased use of recycled materials. It also supports brands responding to retailers – including national home improvement and big-box chains – that have established strict packaging sustainability standards requiring suppliers to adopt recyclable and post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials.

"By expanding our RPET options within the ezCombo program, we are providing customers with a scalable, compliant solution that addresses both regulatory requirements and retailer expectations," Steele added. "This underscores Rohrer's commitment to helping our customers remain competitive while advancing their sustainability initiatives."

Along with ezCombo, Rohrer also offers contract packaging, heat seal tooling, and packaging design services to support a wide range of customer needs. For more information, visit Rohrer's website at www.rohrer.com, or call 1-800-243-6640.
