PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., Feb. 13, 2025 -- Rivian, a manufacturer of passenger and commercial electric vehicles, has validated the Autel IA900 system as OE-approved equipment for performing "ADAS Camera/Sensor Calibration and Aiming" on its vehicles. With such approval, the IA900 can be used throughout Rivian's global network of Certified Collision Centers and Certified Calibration Centers.
The Autel IA900 system, recognized throughout the industry for its comprehensive calibration workflow, was approved after thorough and repeatable testing of each calibration type on Rivian R1T, R1S, RCV, and EDV models. The Rivian Driver+ suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems comprises multiple camera and radar components. The Rivian line has consistently received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) highest ratings for vehicle safety, spotlighting the brand's advanced safety technologies like blind spot monitoring and AI prediction.
"We are proud that yet another automaker has chosen Autel's ADAS calibration technology for use in its certified service facilities. Rivian vehicles employ the industry's most sophisticated and effective driver safety systems. The IA900 was designed to enable technicians to calibrate these vehicles' sophisticated systems with the same ease and repeatable precision as it calibrates simpler systems," said Autel CEO Chloe Hung.
Introduced in 2022, the IA900 is the industry's first all-in-one 4-wheel alignment and ADAS calibration unit. The unit features six high-resolution positioning and tracking cameras in the frame, enabling frame and target-to-vehicle setup in as little as a minute, compared to the mechanical setup with plumb bob, lasers, and reflectors that can take upwards of 45 minutes. Autel has consistently led the industry in ADAS Calibration systems and vehicle coverage.
The Rivian approval extends to all Autel IA900 Calibration System Packages, including IA900WAT, IA900LDWT, and IA900AST, with accompanying Rivian target packages. Visit https://autel.us/oem-rivian for more information on Autel's Rivian ADAS calibration solutions.
