NORRIS, Tenn., May 29, 2025 -- The U.S. Forest Service has announced the reopening of Bald River Road and its parking area in the Cherokee National Forest. These areas have been closed since August 2023 for extensive repairs and upgrades, including the replacement of the Bald River Falls Bridge and to the surrounding infrastructure. A reopening ceremony was held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Bald River Falls overlook for local officials and residents.

The closure, which began in August 2023, allowed for significant improvements to the area, including:
