Expanded 5G partner ecosystem builds momentum, helping customers secure their networks
and protect critical data
BARCELONA, Spain, March 3, 2025 -- Palo Alto Networks® (NASDAQ: PANW), the global cybersecurity leader, introduced today Prisma SASE 5G, delivering the functionality and capabilities customers need to stay protected for the future state of mobility and connectivity. The company also announced the expansion of its private 5G collaborations, working with seven industry leaders to deliver end-to-end private 5G security solutions and services designed to protect enterprise 5G deployments.
With the rise in digitization, coupled with massive device connectivity, securing 5G connected devices and protecting the data shared across them are more important than ever. Service providers continue to grow and innovate enterprise 5G network connectivity to address the rapid rise of hybrid workforce and mobility needs across autonomous AI applications, autonomous connected cars and drones, manufacturing, and more. As the demand on the wireless network grows for 5G connected devices, so does the need for comprehensive security, especially due to the rise of cyberattackers' use of AI. Every attack can now be a new zero-day attack, reach more targets with ease and evolve at lightning fast speeds, evading 5G wireless network defenses.
Anand Oswal, SVP and GM, Network Security at Palo Alto Networks

"Together with Palo Alto Networks, we are delivering advanced perimeter security and Zero Trust solutions tailored for operational technology (OT) environments powered by private wireless networks. Our collaboration ensures that critical infrastructure benefits from robust, scalable, and future-ready security, enabling seamless protection of the OT network."
Jim Frey, Principal Analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group
"The interest in 5G as a primary networking technology continues to grow among enterprises large and small, including mobile, fixed wireless, and private formats. While networking and security teams recognize that 5G brings its own unique advantages, they also greatly prefer to apply cybersecurity technologies and practices that they are already using and are fully familiar with for the rest of the network infrastructure. Service providers that can successfully bridge these two sets of demands will be in an advantaged position in the 5G services marketplace."
