LG HEAT PUMP SOLUTIONS BRING VERSATILITY, ADAPTABILITY TO FUTURE OF SMART HOMEBUILDING

IBS 2025 Features LG's Award-Winning Unitary HVAC Innovations, Water Heating Advancements, Electrification Solutions for Modern Builders

LAS VEGAS, Feb. 24, 2025 -- Global HVAC technology leader LG Electronics is taking the 2025 NAHB International Builders' Show (IBS) by storm – offering forward-thinking builders advanced solutions for new construction or that connect to existing ductwork, enhancing comfort, connectivity and energy-efficiency for any home interior environment.

Attendees at IBS 2025, held Feb. 25-27 in Las Vegas, will experience LG's advanced residential and light commercial HVAC solutions designed to address modern demands in the builder market. These include ENERGY STAR® certified heat pump models and innovative water solutions that meet the growing demand for sustainable building while delivering industry-leading performance and reliability.

"Builders today seek solutions that go beyond conventional efficiency standards, and LG is delivering with HVAC and smart home technologies that maximize performance while providing options to reduce environmental impact," said LG Electronics USA Senior Vice President Steve Scarbrough, general manager of LG Air Conditioning Technologies. "LG is committed to driving modern homebuilding, and IBS 2025 provides an excellent platform to showcase our latest HVAC and water solutions that enhance efficiency, connectivity and overall home comfort."

Visitors to the Home Electrification Solutions zone of LG's booth (#W2931) will have the opportunity to explore a variety of advanced unitary HVAC and water heating solutions:

  • LG Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater – Named a Best of IBS Finalist in the Best Energy Efficient Product category, this ENERGY STAR certified solution integrates inverter and heat pump motor technology, minimizing the need for supplemental electric resistance heating. New 58- and 80-gallon models include demand response and water leakage detection sensors.
  • LG Inverter Heat Pump Outdoor Unit – Designed for residential and light commercial applications, this variable speed heat pump maximizes energy efficiency by automatically adjusting its operating speed to suit various climate conditions, providing optimal heating and cooling performance. It establishes excellent connectivity with the new A-Coil/Furnace lineup through the embedded communication kit. These combinations allow LG to offer an efficient dual-fuel solution.
  • LG A-Coil/Furnace – Combining LG's inverter heat pump technology with an A-Coil and gas furnace, this dual-fuel system is designed to ensure effective cooling and heating with stable and efficient performance.
  • Multi-Position Air Handler – Featuring convertible vertical upflow, downflow (requires an optional conversion kit), or horizontal air distribution, this 4-way configurable unit allows homeowners who prefer traditional ducted infrastructure to experience the benefits of inverter technology.

LG is also sponsoring the Craft Techniques Zone at IBS, which features a variety of interactive demonstrations highlighting best practices, tips and how-tos in craft-building techniques and skills. As part of this initiative, respected industry veteran Terry Frisenda, national business development manager for LG Air Conditioning Technologies USA, will lead a discussion on ductless HVAC systems, offering insights on effective implementation across various spaces.

LG's advanced heat pump and unitary HVAC systems and controls also are at the heart of The New American Home® (TNAH), the official show home of IBS 2025. The home, located in the prestigious Ascaya community in Henderson, Nev., features multiple high-efficiency LG Multi F outdoor units connected to LG Multi-Position Air Handler units.

These discreet, flexible installations enhance the home's high-end design while optimizing energy efficiency, helping to ensure year-round comfort in Nevada's extreme climate. TNAH 2025 exemplifies LG's leadership in sustainability, contributing to net-zero energy performance while complementing modern architectural aesthetics, according to Scarbrough.
