Kinetic West, Guided by Common Trust, Transitions to Shared Ownership Model, Diversifying Leadership and Deepening Mission Alignment

SEATTLE, June 11, 2025 -- Kinetic West, a social impact consulting firm, has officially transitioned to a shared ownership model—bringing six employees into equal partnership alongside CEO and founder Marc Casale to help build the company's future together.

For the Kinetic West team, focused on reimagining how consulting can serve clients and community, this transition fosters shared leadership and mutual investment, strengthening a strong culture of project ownership and excellence.

"I've seen firsthand the power of dynamic leadership to sustain momentum and creativity," says Casale. "Even with strong leadership today, there's value in bringing new people and thinking to the top."

The new model diversifies Kinetic West's leadership and brings broader experiences to decision-making. The partners entered the process as a unified team, choosing equal ownership and a path toward becoming a women- and minority-owned firm by 2026.

"The opportunity to become a women- and minority-owned business opens exciting possibilities, especially in public sector consulting," said new partner Emma Kallaway, who co-architected the transition with Casale. "This option gave us the most flexibility to seek those classifications in the future."

To guide the process, Kinetic West partnered with Common Trust to explore a potential sale to employees and design the transition. Common Trust helps forward-thinking owners sell their businesses at a competitive price while protecting their legacy, purpose and people. Since its founding, it has helped over 10,000 employees share in ownership.

"We felt we were practiced at shared decision making, but we needed experts to navigate the complexity," said Kallaway "It was Common Trust's complimentary facilitation skills, along with a deep understanding of different ownership models, that was most useful for us."

Casale will remain CEO, while the six new partners—experts in education, workforce development, community engagement, strategy, research, and data analysis—expand the firm's capabilities for this next chapter.
