SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 4, 2025 -- IoTeX, the leading innovator in Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN), is excited to announce that its Head of Ecosystem, Larry Pang, has been elected as co-chair of the DePIN Working Group within the Blockchain Association. Larry joins co-chair Jacob Hample, Head of Government Affairs at Filecoin, in leading this initiative, which is part of the Blockchain Association's newly launched set of 23 working groups designed to drive industry collaboration and policy priorities in the rapidly evolving U.S. crypto and blockchain ecosystem.
The Blockchain Association is the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a pro-innovation policy environment for the digital asset economy. Its 100+ members include the sector's leading investors, companies, and projects, working together to educate policymakers about blockchain technology and advance the future of crypto in the United States. The Blockchain Association and its Working Groups will have a close working relationship with the new crypto-friendly administration in Washington DC, playing an instrumental role in shaping new policies and regulations that ensure the crypto industry's success.
This latest appointment of Larry Pang as co-chair of the DePIN Working Group builds on IoTeX's proactive involvement in the Blockchain Association since its entry last December, now solidifying its position as a key advocate for crypto policy and innovation. By taking on a leadership role, IoTeX is further demonstrating its commitment to shaping regulatory frameworks that will enable DePIN projects to flourish in the U.S. market.
"I'm honored to be elected co-chair the DePIN Working Group and excited to take the lead with my fellow colleagues in shaping policies that will advance decentralized physical infrastructure networks," said Larry Pang. "Together, we aim to foster industry standards that accelerate the real-world adoption of DePIN and ensure the United States is at the forefront of DePIN innovation."
Raullen Chai, Co-Founder and CEO of IoTeX, added: "Larry's leadership in the DePIN Working Group is a testament to IoTeX's vision of connecting the physical and digital worlds through blockchain. As the industry matures, it's crucial to have strong voices shaping the regulatory frameworks that govern decentralized infrastructure in the United States. This is a pivotal step for both IoTeX and the broader blockchain ecosystem."
