PITTSBURGH, March 10, 2025 -- "We both work in auto body repair and have struggled to see when reversing vehicles into tight spots with the door disassembled and the mirror removed," said one of two inventors, from Wildomar, Calif., "so we invented the SPOT BUDDY. Our design allows you to reverse in a safe and controlled manner, and it eliminates the need for a second worker to assist when backing up."
The patent-pending invention provides a temporary side view mirror for reversing a vehicle in an auto body shop. In doing so, it would serve as a temporary guide for an auto body repairer. As a result, it eliminates the need to blindly reverse a vehicle with the side mirror removed. It also increases safety and efficiency. The invention features a practical design that is easy to apply and remove so it is ideal for auto body shops and auto body workers. Additionally, a prototype is available.
