InventHelp Inventor Develops New Accessory for Operating Touchscreens (SBT-1996)

PITTSBURGH, April 14, 2025 -- "I wanted to create a simple and convenient way to easily operate or type on a touchscreen smartphone, especially for those with long fingernails or fat fingers," said an inventor, from Rock Springs, Wy., "so I invented THE FAT FINGER. My design eliminates the frustration of not being able to select the right character when typing on a touchscreen."

The invention provides a new accessory for operating the touchscreen of a smartphone. In doing so, it offers added convenience for individuals with fat fingers or long fingernails. As a result, it increases control and accuracy. It also helps prevent the user from pressing multiple or wrong characters. The invention features a simple design that is easy to use so it is ideal for smartphone owners, especially those with fat fingers or long fingernails. Additionally, a prototype is available.

The original design was submitted to the National sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
