ROSELAND, N.J., Feb. 20, 2025 -- Hope for Ukraine, a humanitarian organization committed to providing critical support to Ukrainian communities impacted by the ongoing conflict, announced today it has delivered 144 million meals as Ukraine marks the three-year anniversary of the full-scale invasion on February 22, 2025.
In addition to the meals delivered since the onset of the crisis, HFU has provided 45,315 children with access to education, 3,276 tons of humanitarian aid to devastated regions, 4.1 million families with essential relief, and 2,708 refugees with safe shelter.
"As Ukraine enters its third year of war, hopelessness has begun to creep into the hearts of its citizens who are left wondering what the future holds," said Yuriy Boyechko, CEO and Founder of Hope for Ukraine. "With limited military aid and a hold on USAID funding from the Trump administration, many Ukrainians are asking if their voices are going unheard amidst the changing geopolitical landscapes."
Despite ongoing uncertainty, HFU is expanding its response efforts in Ukraine, focusing on firewood deliveries and food kit distributions and accelerating its Solar Energy Resilience Program to provide sustainable solutions for those without power. This winter, HFU has delivered 320 tons of firewood to frontline communities, ensuring that the most vulnerable can endure freezing temperatures.
"The pause on USAID funding has created anxiety among everyday Ukrainians who rely on its support for access to food, medical care, and essential services," added Boyechko. "Despite these challenges, the Ukrainian people remain resilient, and we will continue to match their strength by ensuring that communities in need receive critical support."
As the war continues, HFU remains committed to providing immediate aid while working toward long-term recovery and stability. By expanding strategic partnerships, mobilizing resources, and fostering resilience within communities, HFU will continue to scale its aid delivery.
