GDT continues to be Great Place To Work® Certified™ in the US and India

DALLAS, April 30, 2025 -- Global IT solutions provider GDT is proud to continue to be Great Place To Work ® Certified™ at its offices in the US and India. Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention, and increased innovation. This award provides employee-based evidence that GDT is building a thriving, trust-based workplace committed to the employee experience.

General Datatech (GDT) continues to distinguish itself as Great Place To Work® Certified™ in both U.S. & India offices.

In 2025, ninety percent of employees said that GDT is a great place to work, 33% higher than a typical US-based employer. Among the positive employee feedback:

  • 95% feel that GDT facilities contribute to a good working environment
  • 94% believe that management trusts people to do a good job without watching over their shoulders
  • 94% can take time off from work when necessary
  • 93% are proud to tell others they work at GDT
  • 93% can be themselves at work

"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasized that certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. "By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that GDT stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."

"I firmly believe that innovation starts with our employees. A strong, empowering, and positive culture enables us to drive innovation and provide the best solutions for our customers," said Shawn O'Grady, Chair and CEO at GDT. "This renewed certification speaks to the ongoing effort leadership has invested in the employee experience and provides us with valuable insights from our employees about GDT's culture."

"We are thrilled that our continuous culture-building efforts are being seen and valued by the global GDT team," said Dave Arcemont, Chief People Officer at GDT. "This recertification as a Great Place To Work® exemplifies not only leadership's efforts but also the daily efforts of everyone at GDT to create a collaborative, welcoming, and great workplace."

Arcemont cited GDT's people-first philosophy and focused efforts to cultivate an innovative and inclusive community through initiatives such as Community of Interest Groups, including an Innovation Council, Women in Tech, DEI Council, and Veterans' Group.

About Great Place To Work Certification™

Great Place To Work® Certification™ is based entirely on what employees report about their workplace experience – specifically, how consistently they experience a high-trust workplace. Great Place To Work Certification is recognized worldwide by employees and employers alike and is the global benchmark for identifying and recognizing outstanding employee experience. Every year, more than 10,000 companies across 60 countries apply to get Great Place To Work-Certified.

Measuring Company Culture

The Great Place To Work Trust Index Survey measures individual employee experiences of five dimensions of a high-trust company culture through 60 statements and two open-ended questions. Three of the dimensions are connected to the actions of leaders and building trust: credibility, respect, and fairness. The other two dimensions measure the workplace experience of employees in relation to their colleagues and the wider organization: pride and a sense of belonging.

These five dimensions create a workplace culture where employees feel empowered and encouraged to do their most meaningful work. High-trust cultures are shown in Great Place To Work research to outperform their competitors in recruitment and retention, productivity and innovation, and financial performance.

Survey answers are assessed on a five-point scale, revealing the most common experience of employees in the organization. Employee scores are averaged to provide an organization-wide assessment of workplace culture: the Trust Index score.
