ROCKVILLE, Md., May 1, 2025 -- Andreea Erciulescu, PhD, a Westat Associate Vice President for Statistics and Data Science, has been elected a Fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA), the world's largest community of statisticians and data scientists. This distinguished honor is only given to one-third of 1% of ASA's membership each year. It recognizes Erciulescu's innovative developments in statistical integration via hierarchical modeling with complex survey data, outstanding contributions to applications including official statistics, and dedicated service to the profession.
