The coding bootcamp launches in June 2025 with hands-on software development, critical skills in AI integration and career readiness through life skills and mentorship.
DALLAS, May 27, 2025 -- According to the United Way "Aspire United 2030" Report, only 26% of young adults ages 25-34 across the Metropolitan Dallas service area earn a living wage. In response to this growing crisis, Kosmos Arts & Tech and 4Geeks Academy have joined forces to offer 23 fully funded scholarships to help residents of the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area break into the high-paying and rapidly expanding technology sector.
This much-needed initiative, supported by the Texas Workforce Commission's Lone Star Workforce of the Future grant and Clark University, offers more than just coding skills—it empowers participants with critical skills in AI integration, leadership development, and the adaptability to thrive in tomorrow's workforce. The program includes the 4Geeks Academy Full-Stack Software Development Bootcamp and the Kosmos Switch Workshops– a unique life-readiness experience that includes goal-setting, financial literacy, and mindset transformation.
"Dallas has an incredible tech job market, but often financial barriers and a lack of skills and guidance prevent too many talented individuals from taking advantage of it," says Carlos Carpizo, co-founder and CEO of Kosmos Arts & Tech. "This new training initiative doesn't just teach young people to code—it prepares them to succeed in the workforce and lead in the age of artificial intelligence."
More Than Just Coding: A Comprehensive Approach to Career Readiness
The Lone Star Workforce of the Future Scholarship is designed for unemployed and underemployed individuals, removing financial barriers to high-quality tech education through 4Geeks Academy's award-winning bootcamps. Recognizing that technical skills alone aren't enough for long-term success, Kosmos will provide its proprietary "Switch" workshops to equip participants with essential career and life skills, including:
- Goal-Setting & Career Alignment
- Financial Literacy Training
- Talent & Strengths Identification
Beginning with Kosmos's proprietary gamified AI-enhanced assessment tool, participants start the program by identifying their individual strengths and potential, and in two half-day workshops, they gain valuable career readiness skills to help prepare them for intensive training. Following the workshops, participants enter the 18-week 4Geeks Academy bootcamp.
AI-Powered, Industry-Aligned Coding Education
Upon completion of the Switch Workshops, participants begin an intensive, hands-on training experience by 4Geeks Academy, designed to launch them into in-demand tech careers.
Participants will receive:
- Unlimited 1:1 Mentorship
- AI-Powered Coding Assistance
- Personalized Career Coaching
- Project-Based Learning
- Global Tech Community Access
Marcelo Ricigliano, the co-founder and CEO of 4Geeks Academy, firmly believes the software development training provided is just the beginning for participants. "We're not just training coders—we're cultivating changemakers," states Ricigliano. "Our program immerses participants in real-world, project-based software development while building critical skills in AI integration, problem-solving, and collaboration."
The timing of this innovative scholarship program couldn't be better, as Dallas was recently designated an official Tech Hub by the U.S. Department of Commerce. In addition, the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is projected to add over 20,000 tech jobs by the end of 2025, fueled by companies like AT&T, Samsung, and Texas Instruments, according to industry insights compiled by Nucamp. Entry-level software developers in the area currently earn an average salary of $75,000, based on data from ZipRecruiter.
