CENTEGIX® and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation Partner to Elevate Lifesaving Preparedness During Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month

CENTEGIX® and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation Partner to Elevate Lifesaving Preparedness During Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month

ATLANTA, Oct. 6, 2025 -- In recognition of Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month, CENTEGIX is partnering with the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation (SCAF) to advance lifesaving readiness in workplaces and schools nationwide. The collaboration underscores the shared mission of both organizations: ensuring that when cardiac emergencies strike, help arrives in seconds—because saving time saves lives.

October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month and we're emphasizing the critical importance of rapid response.

Together, the organizations are raising awareness about how to reduce response times and improve survival when sudden cardiac arrest strikes. The announcement comes during October's Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month, underscoring the critical importance of rapid response: survival rates drop 7–10% for every minute without CPR and defibrillation , and meaningful recovery is rare after 10 minutes.

Save Time to Save a Life

Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of sudden death, with more than 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests each year in the U.S. In schools, the impact is personal and profound.

  • In Florida, when a middle school student collapsed during class from sudden cardiac arrest, CrisisAlert was used and staff quickly responded with an AED and saved her life. Read her story.
  • In Lee County Schools (FL), CrisisAlert was immediately activated, and school employees used CPR and an AED to revive a student during an on-campus emergency. See the story.

These stories illustrate a powerful truth: EVERY. SECOND. MATTERS.®

CENTEGIX Safety Platform: Closing the Gap

The CENTEGIX Safety Platform empowers responders to act in seconds:

  • Emergency alerts immediately pinpoint the location of the crisis on a campus map.
  • The solution displays the nearest AEDs, First Aid Tools, and key EMS access points, so responders can quickly locate life-saving devices.
  • By combining people, equipment, and location data, CENTEGIX reduces the time it takes to respond in critical situations.

"Medical emergencies happen every day, and last year nearly 10% of all CrisisAlert activations were for medical crises—that's close to 25,000 times help reached someone in need more quickly. In many of those cases, that speed likely made the difference in the outcome, because when seconds matter, getting responders there faster saves lives. This is the mission that unites CENTEGIX and the SCAF," said Brent Cobb, CEO, CENTEGIX. "We join SCAF in their commitment to equip individuals and communities with the knowledge, tools and confidence to save lives."

"Immediate CPR and AED use can double or even triple survival," said Gina Peattie, Executive Director, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation. "This partnership expands awareness and reinforces the message that survival depends on getting help right away."
