Established in 2011, Arkay introduced what it describes as the first zero-alcohol whisky alternative, utilizing its proprietary W.A.R.M. Molecule to simulate certain sensory characteristics of alcohol without its presence. The company operates within the zero-proof beverage segment, which industry sources project could reach a global value of $271 billion by 2030.

Arkay reported the following operational highlights for 2024:
- $372 million in global sales
- An average gross margin of 55% across core products
- Distribution in more than 35 countries

The company stated that additional capital would be used to expand manufacturing capacity, enhance direct-to-consumer infrastructure, and launch functional beverage variants, including non-alcoholic formulations with added botanical ingredients.
Consumer trends, including increased interest in non-alcoholic alternatives, particularly among younger demographics, are cited as key factors influencing Arkay's continued development.
