ATLANTA, May 19, 2025 -- AMI®, the global leader in Dynamic Firmware for worldwide computing, is pleased to announce that its Aptio V UEFI Firmware will power the Radxa Orion O6 demonstration platform during COMPUTEX Taipei, which will take place from May 20 to May 23 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
The Radxa Orion O6 is a groundbreaking high-performance Mini ITX motherboard designed for AI applications, described by Radxa as the "World's First Open-Source Arm®v9 Motherboard". The Orion O6 marks an important milestone in small form-factor AI computing, delivering powerful CPU performance, advanced hardware capabilities, a high degree of expandability and robust system firmware directly to the end user.
The Orion O6 includes the CiX P1 - CD8180 System on Chip (SoC), using Arm big.LITTLE™ technology and featuring a quad-core Arm Cortex®-A720 at 2.6GHz, quad-core Cortex-A720 at 2.4GHz and quad-core Cortex-A520 at 1.8GHz with 12MB of shared L3 cache. It runs the Debian® OS and includes an Arm® Immortalis™-G720 GPU, while the NPU delivers 30 TOPs of computing power. The platform also features 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and can expand up to 64GB, along with PCIe Gen4 8-lane connectivity.
