Triage Analysis Formerly Costing Tens of Thousands and Take Days Now Delivered in Hours for $2000
SOMERVILLE, Mass., April 9, 2025 -- Sleuth Kit Labs, creators of Autopsy and Cyber Triage, announced today the launch of Rapid Endpoint Triage Service: a cyber investigation service enabling organizations to quickly determine the severity of an intrusion for a low, fixed cost. Traditionally, companies would either erase the system and hope for the best or pay tens of thousands of dollars and wait for days. Now, they can pay $2,000 and get results within hours. Companies need this after they get alerts from internal teams or Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).
With the new Rapid Endpoint Triage service, an organization runs a small program on the impacted system, and it uploads data for automated analysis. An examiner reviews the results and sends back a report answering key questions about the impact of an incident.
"Some alerts are the tip of the iceberg," said Brian Carrier, CEO of Sleuth Kit Labs. "It's dangerous to erase a host and see if anything bad happens. We want to give small and medium businesses an affordable option to help them better secure themselves."
One major user of this service is Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and MSSPs because they often notify clients about alerts. With this service, they can also help the client respond and make a plan."This service has allowed my team to make better decisions after an alert and complete full investigations," said Ryan Benson, VP of Security at CompassMSP. "We run the collection program for the client and can provide an in-depth analysis of the event and recommended actions."
This service is powered by Cyber Triage, the leading automated digital investigation platform. Cyber Triage uses machine learning, threat intelligence, and other proprietary methods to automatically analyze intrusion evidence and show investigators what they should focus on.
