Commit, Drive, Thrive.
Commit: First, we ask ourselves how we can commit to move the needle—what data we will use to make our commitments, whether we have champions at the top of the organization, and whether we have the business functions in place to drive our commitments.
Drive: Next, we examine actions we can put in place to drive ongoing progress around belonging and diversity. For us, that includes behaviors, development, and leadership engagement.
Thrive: With the commitments and actions in place, we look to thrive, achieving the goals and objectives that we set for belonging and diversity. It is critical to be honest about your organization’s stage of progress, which may vary when you consider workforce demographics, underrepresented groups, and intersections of identity
The important work of diversity and inclusion can be thought of as a journey, and every organization will be at a different starting point. But everyone can start with the same set of considerations.
