Select brands get the first look at their portfolios and their markets through information that exists nowhere else

NEW YORK, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- WISEcode™, the pioneer of FoodTechAI™, today opened the beta of WISEcode Intelligence™, its first AI product built for food and beverage companies. Brands in the beta can see their own products, and their competitors', the way WISEcode scores food: ingredient by ingredient, across the attributes behind health, quality and value.

WISEcode

A view of the market that did not exist

Food companies know their sales to the decimal. What they haven't had is a clear view of what's in the products on the shelf, down to what each ingredient on the label actually is. Labels list ingredients without explaining them, and sales reports do not explain ingredients. WISEcode Intelligence fills that gap with The Food Genome Project™, WISEcode's ingredient-level map of the U.S. packaged food supply.

Using WISEcode AI, an agentic assistant that answers questions in plain language, beta participants can:

  • Analyze their full portfolio on ingredient quality, nutrient profile, processing level and the health research behind each ingredient
  • Check the regulatory status of ingredients, including FDA GRAS notices and listings, along with clean-label analysis and dozens of other attributes
  • Benchmark each product against competitors and find white space in their categories
  • See what drives each score and which reformulations would move it
  • Publish products to the WISEcode consumer app and apply for Non-UPF Verification

"Consumers are scrutinizing ingredients more than ever, often with a phone in hand in the grocery aisle," said Craig Anderson, SVP of Industry and Government Solutions at WISEcode. "WISEcode Intelligence lets brands see that judgment before their customers do, against the competitors in their category. It also shows them what to do about it: which ingredient swaps move the score, and where the open space is. The brands that use it first will set the bar everyone else gets measured against."

Feedback from beta participants will shape the full release, expected in early 2027. Food and beverage companies interested in joining the beta can contact sales@wisecode.ai.

About WISEcode™
WISEcode™ is the pioneer of FoodTechAI™. It mapped America's food supply, starting with the grocery store, into five categories: Ingredients. Nutrients. Value. Health Outcomes. Contaminants. The result is the proprietary WISEcode Intelligence Platform™: the most complete picture of food ever built. On top sits WISEcode AI, an agentic research assistant that delivers FoodTruth™ to everyone who touches food: policymakers, scientists, retailers, brands, health advisors and consumers. One platform. One standard. One source for the truth about food.

For consumers, the WISEcode app delivers personalized nutrition, judging every food by what matters to each person. For policymakers, scientists and enterprises, WISEcode Intelligence™ shows what is in the food system and how it connects to health. WISEcode does not tell anyone what to eat. It gives people the truth about their food and lets them decide.

About The Food Genome Project™

Like the Human Genome Project before it, The Food Genome Project™ is WISEcode's mapping of something crucial to human health: the American packaged food supply, ingredient by ingredient. Years in the making, it traced the 267,130 ingredient terms used on U.S. food labels back to the 8,631 real ingredients behind them, including thousands of compounds the industry is not required to name, and evaluated each against current health and safety research. The result is the most comprehensive ingredient-level map of U.S. packaged food, updated daily, and the foundation for everything WISEcode delivers to consumers, scientists, policymakers and the food industry.
