BonV Combines Agentic AI with Forward Deployed Engineers to Bring PhaseV's Vertical Suite of AI Modules into One Connected and Explainable, Team-Ready Workspace
BOSTON, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- PhaseV, a clinical development technology company that applies AI and causal machine learning to help biopharma make faster, more informed decisions, today announced the launch of BonV, an agentic product layer built on the PhaseV platform. A trial team can ask a clinical development question in plain language, and BonV carries it through to a documented, evidence-backed trial decision.
"Every major development decision draws on modeling, historical data, operations, and safety, and that evidence usually sits in different tools owned by different teams," said Raviv Pryluk, PhD, CEO and Co-founder of PhaseV. "BonV brings it into one workspace. Our scientists and Forward Deployed Engineers work alongside each sponsor's team, so the recommendation a team reaches is one it can explain and defend."
From one question to a decision memo
BonV is built for the full range of development questions, from go/no-go calls and indication expansion to trial design and operational planning. In one illustrative scenario based on a real-world case, a team with a Phase 2 obesity asset asked BonV how to sequence its development strategy, including whether to start a second-indication program before or after the Phase 2 readout. BonV interpreted the goal, requested missing context, and analyzed an uploaded brief to execute the workflow:
- Proposed a staged plan (clinical, statistical, and safety and tolerability review) that the user could edit and confirm at each step.
- Invoked the right PhaseV capabilities, including causal modeling, target trial emulation, ClinOps Optimizer, and Trial Optimizer.
- Compared three development strategies across nine criteria, including time to learning, safety and tolerability, patient burden, country feasibility, and operational complexity.
- Delivered a recommendation with the supporting evidence, before generating a trial synopsis and a decision memo recording what was decided, why, and from which data.
The same workflow can be applied across indications, phases, and decision types. Every result links back to the underlying module, where scientists can inspect the model and adjust assumptions.
Built for enterprise pharma
BonV connects PhaseV's optimizers with sponsors' existing tools and third-party platforms, including leading cloud providers, data warehouses, and clinical and commercial enterprise applications via APIs. It extends existing software investments rather than replacing them. Multi-user project workspaces support defined roles (such as reviewer, budget holder, and final sign-off) and project-level credit tracking for clear cost governance. Deployment is available in a sponsor's private cloud or a dedicated, isolated PhaseV-hosted environment.
Explainable by design
In one trial, BonV orchestrated four PhaseV platform modules to reduce trial costs by $32 million and shorten trial duration by eight months. In another, BonV invoked two applications to support investment due diligence within two weeks, helping enable a multibillion-dollar transaction in the metabolic obesity space.
Availability
BonV is already in use with select pharmaceutical companies, with a phased rollout underway for other enterprise customers. Initial engagements include integration with each sponsor's applications and data environment, supported by PhaseV Forward Deployed Engineers who partner with sponsor IT teams. Existing PhaseV modules remain available as standalone subscriptions. To learn more or request a demonstration, visit www.phasevtrials.com/contact.
