DALLAS, Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Wolfbox, a leader in dash cams and automotive electronics, today launched the new K9 Pro, the first three-channel dash cam to combine full-color nighttime cabin recording with dual-microphone noise reduction.

Wolfbox K9 Pro Dash Cam

Dash cams often struggle to capture important cabin details after dark, especially in the back seat. A child's movements, the color of passengers' clothing, items left behind or conversations competing with road noise are all challenging to record.

Wolfbox's K9 Pro addresses these challenges with a 4K HDR front camera and 2.5K cabin and rear cameras, all recording at 30 frames per second, as well as employing AI with its microphones to improve speech recording.

The result is color recording even in dimness and clearer cabin audio, providing additional security especially for families, rideshare drivers and urban commuters who want a clearer record of what happens on the road and inside the vehicle.

Color Recording After Dark

The cabin camera uses Wolfbox's proprietary ColorAlive™ technology to combine a 1/1.88-inch PureCel OV04J10 sensor and an F1.5 aperture with an AI image signal processor. This combination allows the camera to record full-color videos in low light, preserving details that black-and-white footage might not show.

This particularly benefits parents driving at night, allowing them to clearly see their children in the back seat without having to turn away from the road to check on them. The footage can also preserve everyday family moments in original colors.

For rideshare drivers, color can help better identify passengers' faces and clothing in video recordings, and enhances both driver and passenger safety in various scenarios — from items left behind to actions in the back seat.

In extremely dark conditions, the camera automatically switches to black-and-white infrared mode using intelligent 940 nm IR and IR-cut switching. This mode can also be switched on and off manually.

Audio Clarity With Reduced Noise

Video can show who was present and what they were doing, but it may not explain what was said. The K9 Pro's NoiseShield™ system brings industry-first dual-microphone AI noise reduction to dash cams, using a dual digital microphone array, an AI noise-reduction algorithm and voice enhancement to make speech easier to hear amid road, wind, engine and music noise.

In Wolfbox's driving tests at 38–41 mph, turning on the K9 Pro's NoiseShield™ feature reduced background noise in recordings by about 60%. This added clarity can provide more useful conversation records for rideshare drivers or help families make out what was said inside the vehicle during a noisy drive.

Instant Privacy When Needed

An interior camera can provide valuable evidence, but not everyone in a vehicle wants to be on camera at all times. For example, a rideshare passenger might feel uneasy about being recorded, and a family may want some stretches of a drive to go without interior video.

The K9 Pro includes a physical cover for the cabin lens, giving drivers a straightforward way to block the interior view without taking the camera down. The cover blocks only the lens; audio recording is controlled separately, allowing drivers to manage the cabin camera and microphone independently.

Capturing Vehicle Surroundings in Detail

The front camera on the K9 Pro uses a Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor and Wolfbox's PlateCapture™ license-plate enhancement algorithm to preserve plate detail up to 33 ft (10 meters) in difficult conditions, such as nighttime driving, backlight, tunnels and high-speed situations.

An included, adjustable circular polarizing filter also helps reduce windshield glare and reflections during daytime recording.

The rear camera can be mounted outside the vehicle, which helps to avoid image degradation or blind spots caused by heavily tinted rear glass or window condensation. The camera is IP69K-rated, which keeps it well protected in dusty and wet conditions.

Together, the front, cabin and rear cameras give urban commuters, families and rideshare drivers multiple angles to review after a collision, roadside incident or passenger dispute.

Easy Footage Transfer and Longer Retention

Drivers can review footage on the K9 Pro's 3-inch touchscreen or transfer it to other devices over dual-band Wi-Fi 6. Built-in GPS logs route and speed with each recording. The system supports 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz connections, with transfer speeds that peak at 60 MB/s and average 33 MB/s.

Support for SD cards up to 2 TB provides room for longer recording retention, which can be especially useful for family road trips and other high-mileage drivers when a complaint or dispute does not surface immediately.

Launched separately, the upcoming Bluetooth Remote (powered by highly stable Bluetooth 5.4) for the K9 Pro adds even more convenience to dash cam use by enabling users to effortlessly control locking, microphone and Wi-Fi functions — freeing drivers' hands from reaching for the dash cam.

Now available in the US, the Wolfbox K9 Pro retails for $499.99 without an SD card on the official website or Amazon.
