OLYMPIA, Wash. , Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ImageSource, Inc., developer of the ILINX platform, announces that the first Indirect Cost Rate Proposal (ICRP) generated by an automated ILINX solution was accepted by the federal government. The Interior Business Center accepted the proposal, which the submitting Tribal Nation describes as the first fully automated Tribal ICRP. The Nation produced a complete, compliant proposal from its audited trial balance at the click of a button, a process that typically takes finance teams weeks.

An Indirect Cost Rate Proposal sets how much an organization can recover on its federal contracts and grants. Tribes, colleges and universities, and nonprofits depend on an approved rate to fund the operations behind their programs. A late or incomplete proposal can delay reimbursement and leave real costs uncovered.

Preparing an ICRP has traditionally meant weeks of spreadsheet work and manual documentation. With ILINX, the Nation imported its audited trial balance, grouped accounts, and generated the full proposal in one step. The solution performed thousands of calculations and produced hundreds of pages of tables and supporting documentation that meet the requirements of 2 CFR 200, Appendix VII.

Tribal sovereignty and self-governance extend to the ownership, protection, and management of Tribal data and technology. Tribal leaders increasingly recognize that technology decisions must reinforce self-determination, strengthen critical operations, and deliver measurable value. Selecting the right technology partner requires a disciplined approach, with trust, accountability, and a demonstrated understanding of Tribal priorities at the center of every decision.

Part of a Growing Solution Set on One Governed Platform

The ICRP solution is one of several that ImageSource has built for specific Tribal business needs with AI and data governance as a foundational principles. A Nation's data stays under its control, and every calculation and document behind the proposal is preserved for review.

"Tribal leadership established a clear vision: modernize critical operations without compromising data sovereignty," said Terry Sutherland, CEO of ImageSource. "The result was a federally accepted ICRP proposal completed in a fraction of the traditional time. This is what governed automation should deliver—faster outcomes, full accountability, and complete Tribal control over data."
