The US Army selected HAVIK for Fires simulation capability within the Soldier Virtual Trainer modernization effort

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- HAVIK announced today the U.S. Army Capability Program Executive Simulation, Training, Test and Threat (CPE ST3) has purchased HAVIK ATLAS and SCOUT kits to enable market research and inform future Joint Fires Training (JFT) requirements. Government acceptance and payment have been completed.

"By fielding HAVIK's proven, broadly deployed, off-the-shelf Joint Fires Trainer to active-duty units today, the Army is deploying a system that already meets every requirement while giving Soldiers and instructors the ultimate say in scaling it across the force." - Matt England, President and CBO of HAVIK

This purchase supports an overall modernization effort under the Army's Soldier Virtual Trainer program of record, which aims to ultimately replace the current Call for Fire Trainer 3. HAVIK kits will support CPE ST3's exploration of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) capabilities and JFT requirements.

The kits combine HAVIK Core™ software with COTS hardware. ATLAS provides instructor, student and server functions, while SCOUT adds additional students expand participation in networked mission planning, rehearsing, training exercises and after-action reviews.

Designed for portability, each HAVIK kit packs training capabilities into a single case and can be set up in minutes. The systems can be networked to scale training from a single user to more than 100 participants, whether co-located or distributed across multiple locations. This portable approach reduces reliance on dedicated simulation facilities.

"Being chosen ahead of the competition is a testament to the unmatched capability of our Joint Fires Trainer right out of the case," said Brad Denn, CEO of HAVIK. "We didn't pitch a concept for tomorrow; we delivered a prime-time capability today that will prove to operators and Army leaders that the true successor to legacy Joint Fires simulation capabilities is already here."

"Market research helps us understand available COTS capabilities and refine requirements," said Donnie Ryan, a spokesperson for CPE ST3. "This effort with HAVIK is intended to inform JFT requirements within the overall Soldier Virtual Trainer modernization effort."

Ryan said the kits will be used at Army training locations around the country as part of CPE ST3's efforts to receive instructor and Solider feedback on JFT and other core capabilities of the SVT program.
